As promised last week, I'm offering you a barrage of free stories.
The first Christmas gift is a bundle of all genres. Pick up those you prefer, there's plenty for everyone.
The second gift is a sci-fi adventure by S. K. Valenzuela, The Chrysalis, a Silesia Story
Sahara Acwellan is an ordinary girl with an extraordinary gift. When her city's holy man dies during the ritual Seeing, Sahara discovers that she can read the patterns in the sand. But her warning comes too late, and the ravaging intergalactic collective known as the Drakkin descends on her world. As the Drakkin systematically exterminate her people and destroy everything she loves most, Sahara is recruited into the Shell, a dark order of assassins pledged to hunt the Drakkin. She trains to defend the remnant of her people and to one day take her revenge, but nothing can prepare her for the betrayal that threatens to end more worlds than just her own. If she wants to save her world from extinction, she must go through the Shift...but no one can tell her what she will become.
The third Christmas gift, is a space military story by Negus Lamont. Strike X
is a review copy. It means that you get the copy for free with the author's hope that you'll leave a review. But you probably already know that.
In this fast-paced space military action-adventure, one monster-hunting dark elf begins to question everything he knows-and finds himself surrounded by enemies. He eliminates the monsters that come from the rift. Vex is the third-highest-ranked striker in the Interplanetary Galactic Force, and he’s gaining fast on number two. Every victory, and every progression in rank, comes with upgraded weapons technology and magic defenses. But after a decade of loyal servitude to the IGF, he’s finding himself at odds with his fellow elves. His shadow fox phenome has begun whispering strange warnings. The monsters he’s hunting are no longer mindless beasts: They’ve somehow grown sentient. And while Vex has always stayed out of politics, he’s beginning to suspect corruption even in his own force. Someone is allying themselves with the cyber realm. In this high-octane thrill ride with intricate characters, majestic apocalyptic settings, and death around every corner, Vex’s fight for survival hits twist after shocking twist. He might be the only one who can stop a corrupt game world filled with unfathomable enemies. But it’s the ones closest to you who do you the most harm.
Striker X is the first in The Bold and the Deceptive series. It is followed by Striker Y and Striker Z. All three will be available by December 2020!
Last but not least, there's another sci-fi adventure by Kevin Steverson, Taming the Beast.
Gunnery Sergeant Ron Harper looked down at the ends of his legs. He would have preferred to look down at his feet, but they were no longer there. Having lost them in the ground actions on planet Barlat when his mech was literally sliced in two by a laser designed to knock fighters from the sky, it had been a long hard road to recovery.
“You don’t need the course,” Brink said.
“You of all people have earned the right to skip it.” “I can’t do that, Nate,” Gunny said. It was the first time he had ever called his former trainee by his first name.
“You know I can’t.”
“What does the commodore say about you attempting the Beast?” the captain asked.
He was getting angry. Not at Gunny. Never at the Gunny, but at the fact that everyone coming off medical status had to do it. Mad that he had been a part of enforcing the regulations along with Gunny. Mad at the injury that had happened to his own personal hero. Mad at the entire situation.
And now, a snippet from one of my WIPs, Tales From the Sehnsucht Series-The Manderian Halden. You can find my stories here.
For the time being, it's all folks.
Next week, I may have a book review for you, depending on how lazy my Christmas week is going to be.
Happy holidays, and stay safe.
